It also uses image recognition technology to allow users to get the same information with a photo of the artwork from their phone. Then it goes even further with a feature allowing you to comment on the work and join an online discussion about it within the app. The technology is fascinating as well as the social/community feature it employs. This sounds like a great way to engage younger audiences with the arts. Will smaller organizations be left out because they can't afford to hire someone with the technological know-how? Probably.
