The Internet: Blessing or Curse for the Arts?

Is artistic expression in danger of being censored in the United States due to the internet? We have seen this powerful tool as a blessing, allowing us to easily disseminate artistic ideas, promote arts education, and broadcast theatrical productions for many to enjoy. However, do these great advantages come at a price that we are not aware of yet? The author of the article titled "Why The Internet is a Great Tool for Totalitarians" makes an interesting point about the control governments can exert over its citizens using the internet. It seems the author does not exclude the US from such a possibility.
